Superior customer service and convenient location The staff and management couldn’t be more accommodating during our stay. Not only did members of the staff stayed past their closing hours on New Year’s Eve to attend to my husband but also accommodated my family for a longer stay during very busy, high season period. They were a true lifeline during a very overwhelming time in my life. I am forever grateful. One truly get the know the high quality of a place during difficult situations and the Pietermaai Boutique passed with flying colors. The locations is also very convenient to most places.

Perfect location for wandering around Pietermaai Boutique Hotel is perfectly located a couple of blocks from all the action in Punda and one of the liveliest streets in the Pietermaai district is literally behind the hotel (there is a walkway to get to it) This is here you can find live music in the street on certain nights and some of the best and most eclectic restaurants and bars in the Pietermaai district. I stayed in a Pietermaai Deluxe room and it was almost like staying in an AirBnB or a studio apartment. The room was huge, had a king bed, sectional couch, small table and chairs and a kitchenette. The bathroom was on the small side but it works if you aren't trying to have more than one person in it at a time. The room I stayed in located in a gated courtyard where one of the pools is. Tropical trees and plants in the courtyard gave it the feel of being in a jungle which was cool (not to mention the shade it provided). The vibe of the property is like you are a guest at someone's home. It felt like I was staying in an authentic Caribbean space, from the shutter style doors and windows and the architecture of the buildings. For the price and location you can't go wrong if you are ok with minimal amenities. I would definitely stay there again and hopefully next time I can check out the vibe from the Penthouse! Things to know before you go: There is no restaurant or bar on premise but you are behind some of the best restaurants in Pietermaai. I paid to have breakfast included. They partner with a cute cafe about a block up the street for breakfast and it was delish. The hotel staff leaves at 9pm There are two pools but they are fairly small It is nestled between residences and you may see a cat hanging out under a tree etc.

Beautiful hotel with great staff and amazing location The rooms are so charming. So much character to the building that reflects the history of Curacao! It is very clean and the staff were very sweet and helpful. The location is the most ideal you can get. Walking distance to so many restaurants and bars. Great amenities in the room as well. Very comfortable🙂we were able to rent a car through the hotel which saved us a lot of time and research. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Curacao!

Solid Hotel With Room for Upgrades The Pietermaai Boutique Hotel is located right in the heart of Pietermaai district, and within an easy walk of downtown Willemstad. So huge points for location. The neighbourhood is one of the reasons Curacao was designated a World Heritage Site. So, again, points for history and atmosphere. (Although visitors should be aware that the district is still in the process of being redeveloped, with many buildings still derelict or under construction. ) The hotel was mostly ... charming. Our room was two-storeys, so there was plenty of space. And the interior courtyard, with pool, that our rooms opened onto, was spectacular: a private, green oasis in the middle of the city. Such a great space to spend an afternoon. Also on the plus side, the staff. All were uniformly polite, accommodating and professional. We used them to book drivers and restaurants, and they were always 100%. On the other side of the scale. The hotel, at least our room, needs a refresh. New paint, improved lighting, new bathroom fixtures, new decking around the pool, etc. (And while it wasn't a problem for us, navigating the bizarrely narrow spiral staircase to the loft would be a challenge for some.) One last point, and a relatively minor one. The pub in an adjacent building, boasts live music twice a week. It was so loud that after the first night we had to change rooms to one further removed from the pub. The verdict: A solid 7 out of 10. A few changes could easily bump the hotel to a 9. Regardless, still good value for the money.

A beautiful winter getaway We stayed here the last week of January and were very pleased with pretty much everything about the hotel. We had one of the duplex rooms which gave us extra space, some cooking facilities and a little outdoor area to ourselves. The staff is extremely helpful and we quite kind to me as I experienced a small medical issue. The location is ideal for walking around town and being nearby many wonderful restaurants. As has been said by others, when visiting Curaçao you may want to rent a car to be able to fully explore the island- the staff helped us get a car and gave us great suggestions for our explorations. The hotel’s only downside is that it abuts a street with many restaurants and the nightlife got pretty lively on one of the nights we were there. That said, we would return here.

Fantastic location and beautiful view! I knew nothing about Curaçao when we booked, but it was absolutely stunning. It was one of the best beach vacations we ever took! We stayed in the penthouse two bedroom suite with an absolutely gorgeous view right on the ocean. Both bedrooms had private bathrooms and the unit seemed to be equipped well. We honestly didn’t spend much time in the unit, but it had everything we needed! We spent a few hours around one of the two pools. It was small, but we were the only ones there, so we had a great time. The hotel arranged for transportation from the airport to the hotel, as well as a rental car from a local company. That was so much better than giving money to an international rental car company. I believe it was far cheaper also! I absolutely do recommend a rental car. Although this was located in the historic district, and there were lots of things within walking distance, you need a car to explore the beaches. We will be back. LOVED IT!
